  but my son will be going tonight and i have noticed in the km they will be promoting children to go canvassing for the gb at the meeting with a nice demo of a cute ubp and a parent in "good standing" yuck!

  I sent my JC recording to Bethel - Why would I do something silly like that?

  i have very dear loved ones serving at bethel, for the most part of my dfing they did not totally shun me.

  they were very supportive during the whole appeal process and know the full picture of my unjust dfing.. i told my loved ones today i had good news, i was not labelling myself any longer.

  but that went down like a lead balloon.

  Yeah, your mum is reaching out to you in a way. The fact she found you here and responded and tried to friend you on Facebook proves she's reaching out. I think you should set a good example and be reachable. A jw would shun and ignore such outreach but you're better than that. There's hurt there I can see, but you can heal. You've both said your pieces so now is the time to try to heal the breach. Her authentic self has broken through her cult persona and you must encourage it to keep pushing through until she's free of the cult.

  Generosity in the world

  well tonight my family and i went out to dinner.

  we ate, had a good time...then the time came for the check.. the waitress announced some old couple would pay our tab.

  total strangers picked up our bill.

  It was never lost on me when I was a jw that the most generous people I ever knew were y non jw parents. People at work were also was more generous with their collecting for charities, picking up coffee on the way to the office, helping students organize charity drives and just generally helping and contributing. Then one night in the foyer of the kingdom hall was a big box of oranges from some jw's tree, and on it a big sign saying, "for pioneers only".

  a sweet old sister recently passed away.

  that moved me to write part 1 of " the end did not come..." so here is the latest.

  sister x goes to the hospital for her issues.

  A jw I know whose dfd dad was dying in hospital went to see the old man after years of shunning him. His explanation to we other jws? "Think of what a terrible witness it would be to the nurses if his own son didn't visit him on his death bed." Maybe that's what he told us, but I'd like to think he just wanted to see his dad as his dad for the last time.

  I wonder if the jw oldies face death as peacefully as non jws? A non jw makes peace with mortality because he or she has always known a grave was waiting at the end. A jw though goes through life with the false promise of Armageddon coming "in their lifetime". I've known jws dying of cancer praying to Jehovah to keep them alive just long enough to see Armageddon. They die. I'm not sure they made their peace with life and death...so much of life unlived because it was wasted for the cult, and the death they were promised wouldn't happen.

  Yearbook is late this year

  usually i recieve an advanced yb but have not this year.

  i also notice they have not posted it yet on jw.org.. i wonder if this is due to problems at the printery at wallkill or they decided to produce the yb later from now on?.

  or perhaps they decided not to publish it any more.. anyone have any info on this?.

  I always found the stats interesting when I was in. I would pore over them during meeting parts where they'd study some boring section of the boring life stories. Numbers and countries were far more interesting.

  I don't see how they could omit the partaking numbers without "stumbling" a lot of jws. Many look to them to see how close the end might be. But the wt might just have to omit them and risk it unless they have a third overlapping generation lined up.

  The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University Cult

  as an apocalyptic cult the brahma kumaris have some similarities to the watchtower.. they believe that all humans will die during an imminent and desirable end of the world they called destruction, in order that 900,000 faithful brahma kumari followers will inherit a heaven on earth before 2036.. to outsiders, bks refer to this event as a transformation and adherents are led to believe that a heavenly royal status can be achieved after it by donating money, free labor and unquestioning mental submission to the brahma kumari leadership, who will rule the world as emperors and empresses.

  the brahma kumaris leadership has sought to cover up or deny child sex abuses at its headquarters, multiple suicides of followers at centers, financial corruption and abuses, immigration abuses, the persecution of minor or breakaway groups and the breaking up of families.. with echos of russell's divine plan of the ages, time, according to the brahma kumaris, is limited to a single, identically repeating, 5,000 year period called, the cycle in which human beings procreated by the power of mind for the first 2,500 years, and will do again from 2036, and the dinosaur period existed at the time of ancient greece.

  likewise, in another 2,500 years into the future, brahma kumaris world spiritual university leaders teach that abraham, buddha, christ and mohammed will all be reborn again in order to start to teach, after having re-learnt their religion under them at this time.. the bkwsu leadership continues to financially benefit from their position by encouraging their adherents to a total mental, physical and financial surrender to their god.
